    That lovely, calming sound of water moving quickly over a weir is something special. I have a place—a park bench—where I listen to exactly that. Sheltered under a large tree, I can relax for a few idyllic moments and calm the system. I think everyone needs a space like this. It isn’t miles from anywhere; it sits just off-centre from a local town. Cars pass close by, people come and go, parking in the adjoining car park, but somehow it remains a peaceful, soothing sanctuary. It’s not just the gentle murmur of flowing water, either.
