Journal67

Mental health—it’s a fucker. We all suffer in different ways and from different points of the same compass, joined in the middle by some inexplicable force that binds us, even controls us. There seems to be no escape, and yet we try—daily, hourly, even by the second—to regain control of some form of norm, a reality that doesn’t involve us diving headfirst into a pile of unfathomable shite.

For me, honestly, to put it all into a few words here is nigh on impossible. This About page has been the most difficult thing to write. My posts almost flow at times, but this? Hard going. Journal67 is meant to be a form of insight into my world. It is my underbelly, and as such, I make no apology for the content contained herein. I know very little about the greater picture, but what I do know is through my own experiences. That counts for something, right?

I write honestly and from the heart. Apart from basic spelling and grammar, I edit nothing; each post is exactly as I felt at that given time. I think that’s important. Along with my writing, the images are my therapy—where my mind can switch off from its regular internal battles. Together, the words and the photography make a powerful source of help for me, and I hope an interesting insight to a better understanding for you.

Thank you.
